Peking Duk’s Bunnings Warehouse rave was an absolute banger this weekend, and we’re straight-up manifesting for an NZ version ASAP.
ICYMI - Aussie legends Peking Duk teamed up with DJs Whatsonot, Kaila, and a crew of locals to host at an actual Bunnings Warehouse in Melbourne over the weekend.
The dream gig came about from Aussie producer Kaila, who created the absolute banger that is the ‘Bunnings Warehouse Kaila Remix’ on TikTok.
After the track went viral and captured the attention of both the Peking Duk lads and Bunnings, the rave was ON with a whopping 1,000 tickets sold out in just four minutes.
The Bunnings crew were on the tools cooking snags, and the mosh was full for the most incredible 3-hour rave ever to exist - IMO

Of course, the star of the show has to be the track that kicked the whole thing off!
Peking Duk spun the viral track and LED rave sticks and phones were up ready to capture the glorious moment.
The crowd nailing the iconic ‘do-do-ru-do-do-do’ bit from the jingle has to be the night's most iconic moment.
And of course, it couldn’t just have one moment to shine, the man himself Kaila had to play his viral track alongside Whatsonot - and it went nuts!
On the tools
Aside from your classic saussie sizzle hosted by the Bunnings staff, punters brought the tools to celebrate the special occasion.
I couldn’t tell ya if these tongs were snagged at the snag station, or if they made the journey from home, but either way, the utensil stood out, glistening in the shine of the rave lights.
Kick ons
Like all great parties, they must continue. DJ Whatsonot grabbed a whole bunch of local acts to join him at kick ons at Melbourne’s PICA industrial centre.
It quite genuinely might be the largest afters we’ve ever seen!
“Melbourne that Rave was biblical,” Peking Duk wrote on an Instagram recap.
The whole thing quite genuinely will be going down in the Aussie rave hall of fame. I don’t know if they could top that.
But I reckon if they ever came to NZ we’d give it a freaking good run for its money!
