The first couple of 'Married At First Sight UK' 2024 have tied the knot and the groom already "savagely" tested their relationship before they even said “I do”.
A clip of the moment has gone viral on social media after Kieran pulled a risky prank while his unsuspecting bride-to-be, Kristina, walked down the aisle.
While nervously waiting for their first look at each other, Kieran subtly slipped in a pair of rather rank-looking false teeth, shushed friends and family and turned his back to the room.
“I think the teeth might make me look a little bit immature,” Kieran said in a voice-over. “I’m a little bit nervous to see which way it goes.”
Meanwhile, the rest of the guests' faces look a lot more concerned than Kieran's - even I’m feeling the tension in that room.
“This could really end up bad, but I just want to see if this girl is funny,” Kieran adds.
Enter Kristina who appears full of wedding day jitters. She has absolutely NO IDEA about what she’s walking into, letting out a very shaky “Oh my God”.
She can barely bring herself to look at Kieran who enthusiastically asks: "Are you alright, are you ok? What's your name?"
"These teeth. What the f**k?" Kristina asks in her voiceover, clearly not impressed.
“Oh shit,” she says before letting out the deepest breath.
Sis probably questioned her whole application to the dating show at this point, and who could blame her?
Fans of the show have been reacting to the clip, with many not impressed in the slightest.
“This is horrible what a nasty joke,” one person wrote on X.
“There’s actually a time and a place 😂😂,” said another.
While a third added: “I’m all for wanting to know if someone ‘matches your vibe’ with jokes etc but not on your first-ever meeting🥴.”
Others found the funny side, with one writing: “Good way of figuring out a person's character.”
Another thought it was “absolutely brilliant 👍🤣”.
We never actually see if or when Kristina finds out the teeth are fake, but I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed that this season will air here in NZ because I absolutely need to know how their marriage plays out!
