Moulin Rouge is casting NZ dancers, so you could be living your best life over in Paris

Grab your sparkles and feathers for this one!

The most famous cabaret of all time ‘Moulin Rouge’ is coming to town, and they're on the hunt for fresh Kiwi talent to live and work all the way over in Paris!

That's right, the legendary Parisian show that has been wowing audiences since 1889, is holding auditions right here in Auckland.

It's their first one outside of Europe since that pesky Covid put a damper on things.

Grab your dancing shoes and feathers because it’s all going down on Sunday, August 6th at The Auckland Academy of Dance.

Now, before you get carried away doing a lil shimmy, the Moulin Rouge has some specific requirements.

They're looking for dancers with strong classical training, and you gotta measure up—literally! Ladies, they want you to reach for the stars at a minimum height of 5'9”, and fellas, you need to rise to the occasion at 6'1”.

But that's not all; they're after strong personality, charisma, and the ability to master their fabulous choreography. Oh, and classical training is a must!

So, bring your A-game and your sparkling personality!

Auckland is the grand finale of the Australian and New Zealand tour for the Moulin Rouge's artistic team.

They've already scoured the talents of Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast in Australia. It's your time to shine on the Moulin Rouge stage!

Imagine it - the Moulin Rouge, the feathers, the rhinestones, the sequins, and the glitz! And for those who make the cut, you'll be whisked off to Paris for a whole month of rehearsals before becoming part of the esteemed team of 80 artists from 17 different nations.

Two lucky Kiwis are already living the dream —Glendene from Dunedin and Olivia from Auckland have been wowing the Moulin Rouge cast for two years already!
