It seems like the world of online catfish has struck again, and this time, it's got its sights set on none other than the legendary All Blacks' Jordie Barrett.
An eagle-eyed Kiwi living in London stumbled upon a fake dating profile on Bumble of a man named Andrew who just so happened to be fronting Jordie’s face - IMPOSTER!

According to the profile, this Andrew lad works in finance and loves hitting the town for some bevvies and a feed. He claims to be a rugby fanatic (shocker) and big-ups his barbecue and roast-cooking skills. Sounds like quite the catch, doesn't he?
I mean, I reckon Jordie would cover most of those, although we know for sure that the Barrett brother does not work in finance and, uhm, 35? Jordie is 26 mate! I wouldn’t know whether to take it as a compliment or be offended by that nine-year jump.
The audacity didn't stop there. The profile had a fancy blue verification tick as if to say, ‘Hey, I'm the real deal!’ But let's not be fooled—According to NZ Herald, Bumble shut that scammer down and removed the profile.
It’s a great reminder to us all to be vigilant in the world of online dating. It’s easy to think, ‘This will never happen to me’, though we’re sure Jordie’s probably thought the same.
As for the All Black, he's yet to give us the lowdown on this dating debacle, and boy do we wanna hear what he has to say. So while we eagerly await on any word from the man himself, remember that scammers are lurking in all corners of the internet.
Be cautious, block and report any shady profiles. If it feels like it might not be real, chances are it’s not. Go with your gut!
