TikTok is losing it over a new iced latte trend from China that includes an unusual veggie

“I can see this being delicious in the right mood.”

You've probably heard of the mega-viral Dalgona coffee and Crema Di Caffe, but now there's a new iced latte trend on the scene, and I'm not quite sure how to feel about it.

The drink has gained popularity in China and is starting to make waves on TikTok for its use of an unexpected ingredient - spring onions.

It's made by putting chopped spring onions at the bottom of a cup and adding ice, milk and coffee. For extra pizzazz, chopped onion is sprinkled on top.

Although it has a cute, gram-worthy appearance, loads of people are questioning whether spring onion is actually a decent ingredient that belongs in our morning brew.

“I love scallion but in coffee??,” said one user.

Another added: “Sometimes combining your fave things is not a good idea.”

“I feel like this would send me straight to the toilet,” said a third.

Others are adventurous enough to give the unique drink a shot.

“I’m weird but to me, that actually sounds good,” said one keen gal.

“Respectfully… maybe,” another considered.

A third said: “I can see this being delicious in the right mood.”

One guy even dared to try it himself and managed to finish the entire cup, so maybe it’s not as outrageous as it may seem.

I hate to say it, but curiosity has gotten the better of me, and I'm gonna have to give this a try. Pray 4 me.
